The Compassionate Care Foundation and Protect and Save the Children Association organised The Healing & Empowering Lives Gala Dinner earlier this year with the aim of raising RM1 million for the needy and victims of child sex abuse. A collaborative effort between the two NGOs, the event was held at the One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The Compassionate Care Foundation’s mission is to help the poor who are chronically ill, helping to alleviate their suffering and allowing them to lead active and pain-free lives. The Protect and Save the Children Association protects victims of child sexual abuse and seeks to eradicate it through a combination of education, advocacy, case management, and therapy. Guests of honour included Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye and Minister of Finance Tengku Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz.
