As the CEO of Mals Venture Enterprise, Muhammad Al Hadi has transformed challenges into opportunities, building a reputation for excellence and innovation in Malaysia’s construction industry. With a deep commitment to quality and teamwork, his leadership stands out as a beacon of inspiration. In a candid interview with Top 10 of Malaysia, Hadi shares the story behind his success, the values he holds dear, and his plans for the future.
Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Muhammad Al Hadi has emerged as a prominent figure in Malaysia’s construction industry. His journey from civil engineering graduate to the CEO of Mals Venture Enterprise is a story of resilience, ambition, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hadi began his career with one of Malaysia’s leading property development companies. This foundational experience allowed him to refine his technical and managerial skills. Seeking a different challenge, he transitioned into financial training, gaining valuable insights into the financial sector.
However, it was the call of construction that truly captured his passion. Armed with a CIDB Contractor License G2, Hadi ventured into contracting, a move that would define his professional path. In 2020, alongside his brother, he co-founded Mals Venture Enterprise. Despite the challenges of the initial years, including navigating the uncertainties of a global pandemic, the company managed to secure projects worth over RM 5 million within its first year.
Mals Venture Enterprise operates primarily as a subcontractor to the government, specialising in slope repair, drainage, road works, and traffic management plans. Hadi’s credentials, including a Certificate as a Traffic Management Officer, enable him to endorse drawings for roadside signage. The company also offers construction drawing services, solidifying its reputation for delivering comprehensive infrastructure solutions.
For Hadi, success is built on unwavering dedication to client satisfaction. “I always make sure to provide exactly what clients want so trust can be built,” he explains. His emphasis on trust and quality service has been instrumental in Mals Venture Enterprise’s growth.
Family plays a pivotal role in Hadi’s life and career. He attributes his perseverance and achievements to the support of his mother and wife. “My mum and my wife are my biggest inspirations,” he shares, expressing deep gratitude for their encouragement throughout his journey. He also credits his self-belief and determination as key factors in overcoming challenges. “The success I’ve gained today is because I never give up trying,” he remarks.
Hadi’s leadership style is rooted in fostering a familial atmosphere within Mals Venture Enterprise. “In Mals Venture, we are all like a family,” he says, highlighting his appreciation for his team’s hard work. “Without them, I wouldn’t be here today.”
Among his inspirations is his friend, Datuk Saripulbahri, whose work ethic and generosity have left a lasting impression. “I always look up to successful people, especially those who know how to manage things excellently,” he adds.
Looking ahead, Hadi envisions significant growth for Mals Venture Enterprise. “In five years, I see us expanding to multiple cities in Malaysia,” he shares confidently. “Soon, we’ll be one of the best slope contractors in Malaysia.”
Balancing professional commitments with personal life is no easy feat, yet Hadi prioritises spending time with his family. “My family is my everything,” he asserts, underscoring the importance of maintaining personal connections amidst a demanding schedule.
To aspiring entrepreneurs, Hadi offers sage advice: “Don’t trust people’s words easily. Business is tough, but never give up and always trust yourself.” His words reflect the wisdom of a leader who has navigated the complexities of the industry with determination and integrity.
With his vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence, Muhammad Al Hadi continues to steer Mals Venture Enterprise towards becoming a leader in Malaysia’s construction sector, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
