The Philippines has been recognised as Asia’s Best Country for Women’s Equality at the Top Asia Corporate Ball 2022/23. This recognition acknowledges the country’s efforts in reducing gender inequality and promoting women’s participation in various fields, including education, politics and the workforce.

These initiatives include the Gender and Development (GAD) program, which aims to mainstream gender equality in government programmes and services. Additionally, the country has made significant strides in improving access to education and healthcare for women and girls, and has taken steps to increase women’s representation in leadership positions.
The Top Asia Corporate Ball is an annual event that recognises excellence and innovation in the corporate world among other fields. YAM Tunku Mariam Zaharah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar presented the the award to H.E. Charles C. Jose, Ambassador of the Philippines during the event.
