In conjunction with the month-long Merdeka celebrations, Malaysia’s largest prescription pharmacy, Alpro is launching a series of educational virtual health talks for the public.
Done in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic to deliver useful and essential healthcare information, Alpro will be organising multiple live health talk sessions on their Facebook page throughout the month of September, discussing common health issues related to heart health, kidney diseases and cholesterol-linked problems.
“Ever since the pandemic hit our country, the medical industry has been working overtime to cope with the influx of Covid-19 patients in hospitals. This has resulted in concerns over non-Covid patients not receiving full-fledged treatment accordingly.
“In these crucial moments where Covid-19 is not the only problem we are facing, equipping the public with valuable information on common diseases and health conditions would help save the lives of many,” said Lim En Ni, Alpro’s Chief Pharmacist.
“We felt there is a need to reach out to the community through these health talks to help more people to understand and detect early symptoms of potential diseases and seek professional help to procure essential consultation and medication,” she added.
The public are encouraged to tune in to Alpro Pharmacy’s official Facebook page to catch the live sessions featuring medical experts from various fields.
